Rome, 4 mai 1938. Emballés par la visite d’Hitler à Rome organisée par Mussolini, les résidents d’un immeuble quittent leur appartement pour assister au défilé dans la capitale. Ne demeurent dans l’immeuble, pour la journée, qu’une femme au foyer et un journaliste au chômage, sous le regard méfiant de la concierge.

Le film sera précédé d’une brève présentation, puis sera suivie d'une discussion animée par Pascal Bastien, professeur d’histoire à l’UQAM et Frédéric Charbonneau, professeur d’histoire littéraire à McGill.

Rome, May 4, 1938. Thrilled by Hitler's visit to Rome, organized by Mussolini, the residents of a block of apartments leave their apartments to watch the parade in the capital. The only people left in the building for the day are a housewife and an unemployed journalist, under the suspicious gaze of the concierge.

The film will be preceded by a brief presentation, followed by a discussion moderated by Pascal Bastien, professor of history at UQAM, and Frédéric Charbonneau, professor of literary history at McGill.
